AoBBA Adjudicator Trainee Scheme Invites Applications

Published: June 14, 2021

The Association of Brass Band Adjudicators (AoBBA) is to increase trainee places from six to ten from September 2021. The scheme has been extraordinarily successful, and head of the trainee scheme, Martin Heartfield commented ““The adjudicator training scheme has been effectively embedded into our core activities and the Executive feels the time is right to extend further our offer of training to prospective candidates. I have been delighted with the support received from contest organisers and have been able to increase the number of high-quality assignments for our trainees.”

Although the selection process is based entirely on ability we wish to encourage all members of the brass band community to apply to both the training scheme and full membership. The association embraces an inclusive constitution and welcomes applications from members irrespective of gender, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, religion, belief, and/or gender reassignment.

Nicholas Garman (secretary) commented “Anyone interested in applying for the trainee adjudicator scheme are welcome to contact us and we would be only too glad to discuss aspects of the adjudication process and assist candidates with an application”.

Application forms are available via the AoBBA website (aobba.com) and any queries can be addressed to our Head of Adjudicator Programme, Martin Heartfield via email: musicbloke@aol.com
