AoBBA welcomes new adjudicator and trainee

The Association of Brass Band Adjudicators (AoBBA) has announced a new adjudicator successfully becoming a full member alongside one new trainee member in its ranks.
Head of AoBBA’s Trainee Programme, Martin Heartfield commented: “We are delighted that Jack Capstaff has completed his training with excellent reports from his mentors across a variety of different contest settings and we very much look forward to his contribution to the association.”
Jack is a graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and well-known conductor and composer currently holding residency as Musical Director with Derwent Brass.
Alongside Jack’s accession to full membership, trombonist and conductor Stuart Gray will join the trainee programme.
Public Relations Officer, Christopher Bond, added: “AoBBA’s adjudicator training scheme continues to thrive and has fast become one of the jewels in the crown of the association, with ten trainee adjudicators currently on the programme and ever-more contests agreeing to accommodate shadowing by trainee adjudicators.”
