Summer CPD for AoBBA Members

Earlier this month, our members met online for one of our regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions which form a vital part of our three-year development strategy.
At the AGM in January, we were pleased to welcome George Waddell – Performance Research and Innovation Fellow at the Royal College of Music – whose research focuses on how performers perform and are assessed. His address then was very well received in January with members requesting more time with him, so he led another excellent thought-provoking session for our Summer session.
George provided a thorough mini-lecture on assessment and gave many examples and citations of best practise. Members who attended gave high praise for his talk and much discussion followed about how best to implant these ideas but also thoughts on other external experts who could continue to further the quality of CPD our members receive.
Martin Heartfield, Head of our Development Programme, then led a workshop on Developing the Quality of Written Remarks at Contests.
